
This painting hung in a museum for 71 years, but used to be at final returned to its rightful proprietor after it had been stolen by the Nazis. The Royal Museums of FIne Arts in Belgium transferred Plant life by Lovis Corinth to the property of Gustav and Emma Mayer, who fled their homes in Germany on the eve of World Warfare II. The family’s attorney says the Mayers left dumb 30 artwork, all of which were plundered by the Nazis. Internal Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
